The heart of vesterålen
Welcome to Sortland Hotel – celebrating more than 100 years of hospitality.
For over a hundred years Sortland Hotel has housed travelers of many kinds. Our experience guarantees our guests a pleasant and comfortable stay in one of our 8 junior suits or 42 double rooms. All our suites and rooms underwent major upgrades and refurbishments in 2016.
Arts and culture has always been an important part of our hotel. Perhaps this was the reason the famous Nobel prize winning author Knut Hamsun chose to stay with us when he wrote his book “Den siste Glæde” in 1911 and 1912?
Enjoy a high quality meal in our restaurant, or relax in our library – both dedicated to the Norwegian author Lars Saabye Christensen, who for many years was a resident of Sortland. Our restaurant serves a la carte menu monday – saturday, from 16:00 -22:00. Lunch is available from 11:00 -14:00
